On 21 October, JSC Conresta and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Vilnius TECH) signed a cooperation agreement. At the meeting, the activities of JSC Conresta and Vilnius Tech Faculty of Civil Engineering were introduced, and the expected directions of the cooperation were discussed. University representatives gave us a tour of the places frequented by the students. This included the laboratory of the Civil Engineering Science Centre, the Transport and Civil Engineering Science and Studies building, some units in the Faculty of Civil Engineering and a classroom building.
The goal of JSC Conresta is to look for ways it can contribute to improving the civil engineering study programmes. “One of our main goals is to promote greater compliance in the study programme, so that the students will be equipped to meet the real expectations of the construction business,” said the Director of JSC Conresta, Lukas Laukaitis. During the meeting, the representatives of JSC Conresta shared their ideas about providing students with internships and experiences during the first years of their studies, including work on construction sites where students could challenge themselves by performing different tasks.
