The construction company Conresta UAB announces that its turnover from general contracting and construction contracts reached EUR 50 million last year. Compared to 2019, the company’s income decreased by twenty-eight percent (EUR 70 million).
Despite the fact that last year was difficult for the general contracting and construction company Conresta, it was still successful. Although the consolidated income did not increase, not only did the company maintain its financial stability and ended the year with profit but it was also recognised as one of the best business leaders in Lithuania. On the comprehensive Lithuanian Business Leaders 500 list, Conresta placed as high as 28th and made it to the very top of the list of construction companies. ‘Most of the turnover consisted of income from cooperation contracts signed in 2019. This result shows good performance in the field of construction during the recent years. Construction investments, which decreased during the first quarantine, have gradually returned to previous levels,’ says the CEO of Conresta, Lukas Laukaitis, in his report.
The quarantine changed the company’s plans for 2020
When talking about the quarantine’s impact on the company’s activities, the CEO of Conresta, Lukas Laukaitis, mentions that the recent period had affected the company and had an impact on its performance. ‘We started last year with the goal of maintaining our turnover at the same level as it was in 2019, i.e. EUR 70 million. Unfortunately, due to the overall uncertainty in Lithuania, investments slowed down or were suspended altogether, and in April, we had to review our financial indicators and make appropriate decisions to be able to continue our activities with profit. Although one of our biggest priorities was keeping our employees and ensuring their jobs, we most certainly did not avoid changes,’ says L. Laukaitis, the CEO of Conresta UAB.
When face-to-face meetings were limited, communication practices with partners and clients changed, and the company sought new, more convenient communication methods and optimised its internal processes. As a result, the company was able to sign several cooperation agreements for the current year. The company had no difficulties in adapting to remote work tools, as the organisation is flexible and modern. Even before the pandemic, Conresta chose to communicate remotely with its project teams located in other cities.
Future goals of Conresta
The total portfolio of contracts signed in 2020 for the current 2021 year already amounts to EUR 76 million turnover. The company is not only working on this year’s projects but is also already looking towards the future, i.e. the year 2022.
The company plans to grow consistently this year and the next. The total goal of the portfolio of signed contracts for 2021 is EUR 100 million, which the company thinks it will be able to achieve, given it reached an already significant part of the turnover at the beginning of the year.Conresta has no doubts that optimised work processes, transparent practices, an innovative approach, modern technologies and continuous improvement of professionalism, quality and productivity will help it to achieve its goals.
At the beginning of the year, the company set goals not only for the current year but also for the next year – 2022. The orders’ portfolio for the year 2022 has already reached EUR 35 million.
