The long-awaited construction of a modern nursery-kindergarten with a capacity for 240 children begins in the Verkiai eldership, Bajorai. Today, at the construction site of the future kindergarten, the Mayor of the capital Remigijus Šimašius, together with the Deputy Mayor Edita Tamošiūnaite and the CEO of Conresta UAB, Lukas Laukaitis, buried a symbolic time capsule containing a letter for future generations. The letter expresses hope that this new kindergarten in Bajorai will become an inspiring achievement and a successful starting point for many schoolchildren.
‘I am glad to see how, one by one, new preschool educational institutions for the smallest residents of Vilnius are being built closer to the residents’ homes. Six new modular kindergartens were opened last year alone and are already attended by more than 600 little Vilnius residents. Today we can celebrate another important milestone for young families living in Bajorai – this is where the children of this city district will start schooling and building their future in November this year. I would like congratulate everyone on the start of the construction works, and I look forward to the day when I can invite the community to participate in the kindergarten opening ceremony,’ said the Mayor of the capital.
The future kindergarten in Bajorai will be able to accommodate 240 children. There are 198 places for children from three to seven years old, and 42 places for children from one and a half to three years old. The total area of the kindergarten will reach 3.5 thousand sq. m. The nursery-kindergarten will be modern with installed geothermal heating. Playgrounds for children will be built around the kindergarten, and a parking lot will be provided for the parents’ convenience.
‘We are rapidly increasing the number of kindergartens to be constructed, and in order to fully ensure the needs of families and meet their expectations, we are creating even more new places in kindergartens. We believe that this new kindergarten in Verkiai is particularly important for the city’s educational development. I have no doubt that it will facilitate the lives of many young families in Verkiai, as they will be able to bring their children to kindergarten close to their homes, thus reducing traffic congestion and providing all the necessary conditions for high-quality and modern education for children,’ emphasised Deputy Mayor E. Tamošiūnaitė.
The kindergarten under construction is located at Bajorų Str. 10. The territory of the kindergarten and the buildings can be accessed from the existing Bajorų Street, via a newly designed asphalt driveway. The technical project of the kindergarten-nursery was drafted by the company Panevėžio Statybos Trestas. The construction work is carried out by the general contractor Conresta UAB.
‘As a company, we are happy that we can contribute to the construction of one of the most modern kindergartens. The deadline for this project is tight – we have to complete the construction works this year. However, with our experience and a team of professional employees, we will ensure the smooth implementation of the project on time, while ensuring that the highest quality standards are met. I have no doubt that this kindergarten will make the families proud and will become an exceptional place for children to grow and discover the world. We are proud of the trust shown to us by the Vilnius Municipality and the fact that our team is able to meet the expectations. I have no doubt that together with Vilnius Municipality we will continue to cooperate in a professional and efficient manner by building many more projects together,’ said the CEO of Conresta UAB, Lukas Laukaitis.
