“Conresta” wins “Lithuanian Product of the Year” Gold for the construction of hotel “Pacai”
Last week, the “Pacai” hotel was awarded the grand prize in the category of commercial property for “Sustainable Development”. “Conresta”, the builders of this hotel, were also awarded this Thursday. In the “Lithuanian Product of the Year 2018” competition the company was awarded the Gold Medal in the Construction category.
“We are pleased that the initiative to revive an abandoned building of historic and architectural value and to transform it into a hotel restoring its historic purpose, is gaining more and more recognition. We are grateful to the main project partner, who was able to carry out the construction and reconstruction work under extremely difficult conditions and on schedule,” says Rūta Pulkauninkaitė-Macikė, the Director of Pacai Hotel.
“We encountered various challenges in implementing the project. The facility is located in the UNESCO-protected Old Town of Vilnius, so it was limited in scope and all the details had to be coordinated with the Department of Cultural Heritage. It was also necessary to preserve the valuable properties of the building and restore the authentic details by responsibly choosing the materials used,” says Lukas Laukaitis, the CEO of Conresta.
