Construction of the KG Constructions Group factory and office building will be taken care of by KG Constructions Group
One of Northern Europe’s largest aluminium and glass facade construction production company KG Constructions Group and the construction company Conresta have signed a general construction contracting agreement, according to which Conresta undertakes to implement the construction of a new KG Constructions Group factory and an A+ energy class office on Molėtų Str. in Vilnius by April 2022. Construction has already begun and the total amount of investment is set to reach EUR 10 million.
The Lithuanian company has purchased a six-hectare plot and will proceed with its two-stage development. In the first stage, a 13,800 sq. m factory with an administrative building will be built; the factory is intended for the production of KG Constructions’ aluminium and glass facade structures.
The production area, compared to the currently available 7,000 sq.m production premises, will increase to 10,600 sq.m, and the office premises will expand by almost three times (up to 3,200 sq.m).
The expansion of the KG Constructions Group factory will double its production capacity, from 100,000 to 200,000 sq m per year.
The pandemic did not affect the results and plans
‘The pandemic had no effect on the performance results. Development is undoubtedly necessary for our group of companies, as strategic plans are being rapidly implemented, and customers’ needs are constantly growing. We must not stop – we have to justify the trust we have already earned and offer only the highest-quality solutions that go along with the trends,’ says the company’s CEO Linas Karžinauskas.
In 2020, compared to 2019, the sales revenue of the group grew by 19% and reached EUR 49 million.According to unaudited data, in 2020, EBIDTA of the group increased almost 1.8 times and reached EUR 7.07 million. The sales revenue of the group in 2019 was EUR 41.9 million, and EBIDTA was EUR 3.94 million.
Sustainability-based solutions and green energy
An intelligent building management system will be installed in the A+ energy class office. This system will help the monitoring and controlling of the building’s ventilation, heating, energy consumption and other installations. Installation of a solar power plant on the roof of the building is also planned. Currently, the solar power plant owned by KG Constructions Group covers 32% of the total annual electricity consumption. One-third of the electricity consumed by the entire group comes from renewable sources. ‘Our goal is to cover up to 80% of annual electricity consumption with the new solar power plant,’ says the CEO L. Karžinauskas.
The A+ energy-efficient office building will stand out with its original architecture, interior design and high-quality finishing materials, as well as its energy-saving double-skin facade. The facade will be equipped with automatic blinds for solar control.
