“Ikarai” Liquid Fertilizer Plant, Kėdainiai FEZ
During the three phases of construction, more than 3 million euros was invested in the fertilizer production and logistics center. Conresta, the general contractor of the first phase, built a nearly 2,000 sq. m. production and storage building. This is the first and a really significant investment in the Kėdainiai FEZ, and is very important for Lithuanian farmers, as until now only the crematorium (which was built before the recognition of the industrial park as a free economic zone) operated in the area.

In the Free Economic Zone of Kėdainiai, the company has invested in liquid and slurry fertilizer production complex. There is also a driveway and paved railway loading area in the territory of almost 4 ha. Production and storage buildings, as well as raw material and production warehouses for the production of liquid fertilizers were built. Therefore, the structures to be built had to be particularly resistant to the alkaline and acidic environment.
During the 2nd and 3rd stages of construction, a heated logistics warehouse and two additional production lines were installed, allowing to increase production volumes. A modern 300-square-meter laboratory has been set up next to the plant to conduct in-depth studies of plants growing in artificial light, showing how liquid fertilizers affect plants and what active ingredient is best for individual crops. It produces about 10 thousand tons of liquid complex fertilizers each year.

Storage of liquid, slurry fertilizers

Building the plant was a crucial step for us in consolidating our position as a liquid fertilizer manufacturer. Considering the good infrastructure, favorable attitude of the territory manager and the municipality, we have chosen Kėdainiai FEZ. Besides, Kėdainiai FEZ is convenient in terms of logistics.
